The inflatable part (1) has a toroidal shape with a central passage (3) into which fits the wheel rim. This central passage is not cylindrical but resembles a diabolo. There are ribs (4) on the internal surface of the internal passage (3). A ridge piece (5) joins the exernal surface of the toroid (2) nearest the axis and perpendicular to it. The arrangement almost eliminates any possibility of slip in the assembly.
