Benzene may be used instead of cyclohexane and phosphoric acid, p-toluene sulphonic acid, borontrifluoride etherate, sulphuric acid, trifluoroacetic acid and trichloroacetic acid instead of hydrochloric acid. In Example 2 1 - methyl hydrogen 3 - (p - tolylsulphonyl) - 2- aza-succinate is prepared by agitating methylcarbamate, p-toluene sulphuric acid sodium salt, glyoxylic acid, water and formic acid. |
