<p>A hard, rigid fertilizer product compacted by briquetting and having a shape, mechanical strength and an impact resistance which adapts it to be hammered while unsupported into the ground without significant shattering and having a substantially homogeneous composition consisting essentially of from 85% to 95% by weight substantially non-fibrous NPK fertilizer source materials bonded together by from 15% to 5% by weight of a substantially water insoluble cured thermosetting resinous binder based on the dry weight of the mixture.</p> |
