<p>The chair is composed of flexible tubular envelopes (3) which contain a fluid. It is mounted on a tubular frame (1a, 1b) the inside of which communicates with the inside of each of the envelopes attached to it. The principle may be applied to beds. Each envelope is connected to a valve and can be controlled individually. The envelopes are of rubber or plastic. The fluids used in them may be static or circulating under pressure. The circulation can be controlled manually by a screw (7), in order to obtain the desired pressure in each separate envelope.</p> |
