<p>The mounting plate (9), located on the tractor chassis i connected to the coupling plate (1) by linkages permitting rotational movement about longitudinal and transverse axes. Movement about the longitudinal axis is accommodated by the pivoted links (7) and limited by the contact of the surfaces (14) on the plate (9). The movement may, when required, be prevented by blocks (15) being pushed into the space between the surfaces (14) and the plate (9) by a spring loaded lever system. Thus rotation about the transverse pivots (4) only can occur. Longitudinal rotation may be either permitted for off-road use or locked for safe high speed travel on the road.</p> |
