1522347 Vehicle door seal NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 17 Nov 1975 [16 Nov 1974] 47208/75 Heading E1J A vehicle door seal assembly comprises a frame 18 surrounding a door opening with a flange 20 and a further flange 22 connected to the roof 12 and bearing an elongate member which forms a gutter 26 and a flange 28; the door has a frame member 30 shaped to receive a glass run 38 and the weather strip 36 which is held by the inturned lips 60, 62. The weather strip has lip portions 50 and 52. On closing the door lip 50 contacts flange 20 and lip 52 contacts flange 28 pressing the seal into the seating 32. The lip portions of the strip may be hollow (Figs. 4a, 4b not shown) or may extend separately from the body of the strip (Figs. 5a, 5b not shown). |
