摘要 <p>1522235 Laser alignment apparatus LASER INDUSTRIES 22 Nov 1976 [27 Nov 1975] 48659/76 Heading G2J [Also in Division H1] In apparatus for aligning a non-visible working laser beam with respect to a working area and in which the beam is guided by an articulated structure 4, Fig. 1, having beam reflectors at the articulations and a focusing lens 8 at a manipulating end 6, the location and degree of focus of the non-visible beam on the working area is displayed visually by a low intensity visible laser beam which is also passed through the articulated structure with portions on either side of the non- visible beam, the lens bringing both beams into focus at the same distance with the focal point of the invisible beam located between the focused external visible beam portions. The different focal lengths of the visible and non-visible beams is compensated for either by arranging the visible beam to converge towards the lens or by forming the lens with portions of different refractive index, Figs. 4a-4d (not shown). The lasing source 2 from which the combined beams 14 are transmitted is shown in Fig. 2 and comprising a CO 2 infrared laser 20, an He-Ne visible laser 26 and a beam combiner 22. The required pattern of visible beam portions 18a, 18b external to the non-visible beam 16 is provided by the beam combiner 22 which comprises a reflector 52, an apertured or dichroic reflector 54 and a beam splitter 56. The visible beam may alternatively be of annular cross-section.</p>
