Disclosed is an alternative support device, which is an apparatus that functions by alternating the weight of a patient's body by section while allowing the entry of air, permitting the oxygenation of the gluteal muscles. The action of alternating helps to provide greater comfort and physical health, delaying deterioration of the parts in contact with the wheelchair or bed. The device is intended to provide patients who, for various reasons, are wheelchair- or bed-bound for short or long periods or for life, with the sensation similar to that experienced by a person without physical complications who, when seated on a sofa for a certain amount time, becomes tired and stands up to have relief. The device can be adapted to other apparatuses to increase the chance of improving the physical well-being of the patients. |
