Stable plastic grooved ball bearing cage - with balls locked in position by retaining pieces stiffened with intermediate spacers

Plastic cage partic. for grooved ball bearings consists of a ring with several bridging sections, each of which ends in two retaining pieces, and the latter between two bridging sections hold the balls in position. The cage has >=1 spaces between the retaining pieces of two adjacent pockets, these spacers snap into grooves between projecting lips and thus increase the stiffness of the retaining pieces. Arrangement provides a simple and inexpensive one piece construction, which is easily assembled. The cage is prevented from snapping out of position on the balls.
