Ink reservoir prodn - by saturating open cell porous foam

In making an accurately dimensioned liquid reservoir a piece of open celled porous foam having 4000 to 8000 cells/sq. ins. is saturated with liquid and a cylindrical liquid reservoir of predetermined size and shape is cut therefrom. Product is used as ink reservoir in price markers, postage meters and computer print-out devices. Liquid lubricates during cutting to prevent tearing. Method avoids change in dimensions of reservoirs made of dry foam when saturated. Pref. compressed open-celled polyurethane foam is used.
