This metal separator structure for a fuel cell comprises a first separator in contact with one membrane electrode joined body, and a second separator abutting another membrane electrode joined body. Then, in the direction in which the first separator, the second separator, and the membrane electrode joined bodies are layered, a conductive member is inserted between the first separator and the second separator in a reaction region sandwiched between the two membrane electrode joined bodies, and in a sealed portion at the outer edge of each of the membrane electrode joined bodies, the first separator abuts directly the second separator in order to deepen the depth of a sealed groove and broaden the sealed space. |
