PURPOSE:To provide a reflecting device for lighting apparatus, including a through- shaped reflector plate disposed in the manner surrounding a tubular lamp, wherein top central portion of said reflector plate is formed by an auxiliary reflecting surface, elongated along the length of said tubular lamp and having a particular cross secion, capable of preventing light of the lamp from being reflected back to the surface of the lamp. CONSTITUTION:Reflector plate 2 is arranged upwardly of lamp tube 1, and an auxiliary reflecting surface 3 having a cross section of a particular shape is formed at the central top portion of said reflector plate 2. Light emitted upward from the center 1a of lamp tube 1 is reflected off the auxiliary reflecting surface 3 obliquely sidewises so that it is not reflected back to the surface of tube 1, which results in increasing the downward brightness. Thus, in the above arrangement, light emitted from the central portion of the lamp tube is reflected off the reflector plate downwards by the side of the lamp tube, so that it is enabled to increase the downward brightness under a given power consumption. |
