A process for manufacturing iron ore sinters including the step of heatingtogether a mixture of iron ore fines, fuel, one or more fluxing agents, and one or more alkaliearth metal compounds. The process results in the reduction of the alkali-metal content of the sinter at the same time improving the low temperature breakdown properties thereof. |
