The present invention relates to a method for detecting particles which move along a trajectory and produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field, wherein the electromagnetic radiation, the electric field or the magnetic field is detected, wherein a first signal is captured with the aid of a first structuring device, wherein the first structuring device either ensures that the particles along a trajectory section produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field substantially only at first non-periodic spatial intervals or ensures that the electromagnetic radiation, the electric field or the magnetic field is detected along the trajectory section substantially only at first non-periodic spatial intervals. In order to provide a method for detecting particles which move along a trajectory and produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field, the invention proposes that a second signal is captured with the aid of a second structuring device, wherein the second structuring device either ensures that the particles along a trajectory section produce or at least influence electromagnetic radiation, an electric field or a magnetic field substantially only at second non-periodic spatial intervals or ensures that the electromagnetic radiation, the electric field or the magnetic field is detected along the trajectory section substantially only at second non-periodic spatial intervals, and that the first and second signals are correlated with one another and the correlated signal is used to draw conclusions with respect to the number and/or speed of the particles. |
