<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium which satisfies releability to the change in use environments, durability for repeated use, etc. by providing a special protection layer on the recording layer surface of the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The nitrocellulose which is the resin such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer and obtained by substituting the isopropyl alcohol contained and a polyurethane base polymer of about 10<3> to 10<6> in molecular weight are mixed at reatios of about 9/1 to 2/8 and the mixture is dissolved in a solvent such as methyl ethyl ketone to form lacquer of about 15 wt% in concentration. Next, the abovementioned lacquer is coated and hardened on the recording medium comprising providing a magnetic recording layer on a substrate such as polyester film, whereby the protection layer (preferably about 2mu or under in thickness) is formed.</p> |
