PURPOSE:To remove the effect of cold-contraction, by providing under a roof having airtightness sufficient for maintaining vapor-pressure of a low-temperature liquid, a supporting part capable of supporting the weight of the roof where the supporting part is supported by a pole fixed at the bottom of the tank. CONSTITUTION:The center of roof 4 is supported by supporting part 9 and pole 8. The upper part of the tank is made airtight. Pole 8 merely holds supporting part 9 from below, passes through the liquid and is fixed to the bottom of tank 1. Supporting part 9 is boss-shaped and is placed on top of pole 8. It is intended to support a part of the weitht of roof 4. When inner tank 3 is filled with liquid 01, pole 8 shrinks downward and is separated from supporting part 9 but the shrinking force of the pole has no effect on supporting part 9. The space between inner tank 3 and roof 4 is filled with vapor of liquid 01 which is gasified. The pressure of the gasified vapor which is maintained at a proper level pushes up roof 4 and there is no need for pole 8 to support it. |
