MOISTURE DETECTING ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness at a low temperature by using a moisture sensitive element which is prepared by dispersing conductive powders into a special moisture absorptive resin. CONSTITUTION:There are copolymerized a vinyl monomer such as 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate having a hydrophilic radical, a hydrophobic monomer such as tetrahydrofulfurylmethacrylate in 20 to 70 mol %, and preferably a vinyl monomer having an epoxy radical. The copolymer thus obtained is dissolved into a solvent together with an epoxy setting agent, and 30 to 100 wt. % of conductive powders are dispersed into the copolymer thus prepared. The dispersion is applied to a xomb-shaped carbon electrodes 2 and 3 which are mounted on a ceramic substrate 1 in advance. By the heat treatment, there is produced a bridged solid resin film 4. Lead wires 5 and 6 are connected with the electrodes 2 and 3.
