PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive cable that maximizes power transport efficiency and miniaturizes the cable itself by emphasizing a vertical magnetic field in a superconductor.SOLUTION: A superconductive cable 1 for transmitting power using superconductors comprises a conductive part 4 that is formed of a superconductive material arranged spirally at a positive or negative angle with respect to a reference direction when the longitudinal direction of the superconductive cable 1 is set as the reference direction. The conductive part 4 consists of a plurality of layers having spiral angles different successively from an innermost layer 2 to an outermost layer 3 with respect to the reference direction. A current flowing through the conductive part 4 generates a magnetic field in the same direction as the flow of the current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
