The present invention relates to a device having a 5-pole connection terminal, which is connected to an audio input/output apparatus so as to receive a microphone signal from the audio input/output apparatus, generate an audio signal, and provide the audio signal to the audio input/output apparatus. The device comprises: a power supply unit for supplying a power signal; a connection terminal unit which is connected to a connector of an audio input/output apparatus, and has therein a plurality of pins in contact with the connector so as to output left/right audio signals to the connector, receive a microphone signal from the connector, and supply the power signal generated in the power supply unit to the connector; a signal detection unit for detecting a control signal generated in the audio input/output apparatus connected to the connection terminal unit; and a control unit for controlling the power supply unit according to signal detection of the signal detection unit. The plurality of pins provided inside the connection terminal unit are arranged in the order of a microphone input pin, a ground pin, a power signal output pin, a second audio signal output pin, and a first audio signal output pin, according to the order that the pins come into contact with contact regions of the connector to be inserted into the connection terminal unit. The plurality of pins are electrically connected to the connector so as to relay electric signals generated between the device and the audio input/output apparatus. The present invention can supply power to the audio input/output apparatus using a 5-pole connector of the audio input/output apparatus, having a power input end connected to a power output pin of the connection terminal unit, through the power output pin, and thus provides convenience in using and carrying the audio input/output apparatus by employing the device because there is no need to carry an additional power supply means for supplying power to the audio input/output apparatus. In addition, the plurality of connection pins disposed inside the connection terminal unit are arranged in positions corresponding to connection regions of a standard 4-pole connector and a standard 3-pole connector, and the power supply is not performed when a power supply request signal is not received from the audio input/output apparatus having the 5-pole connector. Thus, since it is possible to use an audio input/output apparatus having not only the 5-pole connector but also a standard 4-pole connector or a standard 3-pole connector, the present invention provides high compatibility. |
