An optical filter comprises: an absorption layer including a first near-infrared absorbing agent having an absorption maximum in a wavelength region of 660-785 nm, and satisfying the following requirement (i-1); and a reflection layer formed from a dielectric multilayer film and satisfying the following requirement (ii-1). (i-1) The absorption layer has a wavelength λSh (DA_T50%) at which transmissivity becomes 50% in a wavelength region of 620-670 nm on the shorter wavelength side from a wavelength λ (DA_Tmin) at which the absorption maximum is shown. (ii-1) The reflection layer has a near-infrared reflection band in which the transmissivity of light incident at an incidence angle of 0° becomes 50% or less in a wavelength region of 670-1200 nm, and a wavelength λSh (A2_Ts50%) at which the transmissivity of light having an s polarization component out of light incident at an incidence angle of 30° becomes 50% on the shorter wavelength side from the near-infrared reflection band is present on the longer wavelength side from the wavelength λSh (DA_T50%)
