Provided are: a balloon coating method which is capable of appropriately applying a coating liquid to the outer surface of a balloon, and which is capable of appropriately setting the morphotype or the like of a drug with which the balloon is to be coated; a balloon rotation method; and a balloon coating device. The balloon coating method for forming, on the outer surface of a balloon (30) of a balloon catheter (10), a coating layer (32) including a water-insoluble drug is provided with: a step in which a drive shaft (111) for rotating the balloon catheter (10) is fitted to an opening of a three-way stopcock (170) attached to the base end of a hub (40), said drive shaft being fixed to the opening by frictional force; and a step in which a dispensing tube (134) for supplying a coating liquid including a drug is moved in the axial direction of the balloon (30), while the balloon (30) is being rotated around the axial centre (X) by the drive shaft (111), to apply the coating liquid to the outer surface of the balloon (30). |
