The invention relates to a combined control and safety valve 9 for a pressurised liquid system, first of all lubricating oil systems for force-feed lubricated diesel engines 1. The valve 9 in question is mounted immediately adjacent the lubricating pump 3 of the engine. Both the control and the safety functions of the valve 9 works via overflow through one and the same overflow channel 11, 16.
