PURPOSE:To obtain a long life toner excelling in pressure fixing performance, having a uniform outer shell, and excelling in charging performance and impact resistance, by constituting with the core material containing pressure fixing component and the outer shell to cover the core material, and containing a catalyst for polymerization of outer shell in the core material. CONSTITUTION:In a capsule toner of electrophotography or the like, a material excelling in pressure fixing property with paper such as polyethylene (preferably polyethylene oxide) is used as the core material, and a mixture of the catalyst to polymerize the outer shell material (styrene monomer, acrylic monomer, other single element, or mixture thereof) and magnetic fine particles (magnetite or the like) is mixed and crushed into the core material to prepare a core member of 5-20mu size powder. This is dispersed in the outer shell material monomer and heated to prepare a capsule toner having a uniform outer shell of film thickness of about 1mu. Thus, highly durable, sharp images may be obtained. |
