<p>PURPOSE:To simplify producing work of spherical graphite cast iron by a mechanism wherein a recarburising agent is uniformly dispersed within molten metal for cast iron by utilizing a stirring action cased by a reaction of a graphite sphering agent and molten metal for cast iron and a recarburising process and a graphite sphering process are simultaneously carried out. CONSTITUTION:Into a chamber 3 of a ladle 1, a mixture of a graphite sphering agent (e.g.: Fe-Si containing 8% of Mg) and a recarburising agent containing fluorine are added and plural punched scraps are scattered thereon. In this condition, molten metal for cast iron is poured into a chamber 4 of a ladle 1 so as to raise a liquid level to above partition wall 2. As a result, molten metal for cast iron poured into a ladle 1 dissolves the said punched scraps 5 and reacted with a graphite sphering agent within a chamber 3. By a stirring action accompanied with this reaction, a recarburising agent within a chamber is dispersed within molten metal for cast iron within a ladle 1 and the obtained spherical graphite cast iron contains sperical graphite uniformly all over and carbon content is also uniform.</p> |
