PURPOSE:To obtain a high-temperature mold of high strength, by coating the surface of resin film covering the pattern with specified fireproof slurry to mold a suction mold, and heating the mold surface to a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 2 is mounted on a molding board 1, and the surface thereof is covered with a film 3 such as synthetic resin. A fireproof slurry 4 made of silica flour and colloidal silica is spread to a proper thickness depending on the mold condition, and a metal flask 5 is set in place, then a mold material 6 is charged. The mold material is solidified and bonded by suction under reduced pressure by a known method to obtain a mold, which is taken out and the mold surface is heated to 200-500 deg.C. By this treatment, the film on the mold surface is removed, and fireproof slurry is affixed, thus forming a strong heat resistant mold surface, so that collapse while molding may be prevented. |
