<p>As fibres, esp. cotton, are fed from a supply to a carding roller, impurities and debris have to be removed. The carding roller acts with a second carding roller, which rotates at a higher speed by a multiple of the rotary speed of the first roller. The fibre material is stripped from a mesh drum with suction air passing through it. The design gives a simple and compact unit to remove coarse and fine impurities from the fibre material.</p> |
