PURPOSE:To prevent electlytic dissociation gas from being leaked by inserting an insulator between a sample guiding port circumferential wall and a heat conductor and keeping the airtightness in an ion source. CONSTITUTION:A heat conductor 6 has a cylindrical section and this section holds a sample tube 4. a conical body 12 consisting of insulants, such as polyimide and fluoroplastics is slidingly fit to the surface of the cylindrical section. A stop ring 13 is screwed in the end of the cylindrical section and a conical body 12 is pushed in the direction of the stop ring 13 by a spring 14. A sample guiding port of a chamber 1 has the size which is fit to the conical body 12 and chamfering is applied in conformity with the inclination of the external surface of the conical body 12. As a result, when the cylindrical section of the heat conductor 6 is pushed into the chamber 1 so as to contact the sample guiding port, the airtightness between the conical body 12 and the sample guiding port circumferential wall is kept. |
