PURPOSE:To chamber a grindstone at a predetermined angle at a high accuracy by using a diamond dresser provided on a slider block to which the principle of a sine bar is applied. CONSTITUTION:A slider block 2, which is supported on a base 1, is oscillated around a pin 3 to adjust the angle thereof and fixed with a set-screw 5 in the angle- adjusted position. A contact pin 6 is fixedly provided at the lower surface of an end portion of the block 2. Let l equal the distance between the axes of the pins 3, 6. In order to chamber a graindstone 14 at an angle theta1=30 deg., a block gauge 12 of l/2 in length is inserted between an upper surface 1c of the base 1 and the contact pin 6, and the block 2 is then rested on the pin 6 and fixed with the set-screw 5. A grindstone chamfering tool thus adjusted is set on a grinder, and a lever 9 is operated to reciprocatingly move a slider 7 in directions of a dual arrow 8. Thus, the gridnstone 14 being rotated is chamfered at 30 deg. with a dresser 10 provided on the slider 7. |
