A display panel and a liquid crystal display device. The display panel comprises an upper polarizer (110), a lower polarizer (120), a first substrate (130) and a second substrate (140) oppositely disposed between the upper polarizer (110) and the lower polarizer (120), and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first substrate (130) and the second substrate (140). The display panel further comprises a quantum dot layer (150) and a protective layer (160) of the quantum dot layer. The quantum dot layer (150) is disposed on one side, away from the liquid crystal layer, of the second substrate (140). The protective layer (160) of the quantum dot layer is disposed between the quantum dot layer (150) and the lower polarizer (120). The protective layer (160) of the quantum dot layer is configured to prevent the quantum dot layer (150) from oxidating. The above solution can improve a color gamut value of an LCD, and improve a display effect. |
