摘要 PURPOSE:To efficiently clean waste gas through enhanced contact of NOx with pulverized catalyst or active carbon by injecting pulverized powder of catalyst or active carbon into waste gas. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized powder of catalyst or active carbon, etc. is injected into waste gas 7 from a powder inlet of a reaction tower 1. At this time, the diffusion of the powder is not sufficient and most part of NOx is guided into dust-collecting space consisting of dust-collecting electrode 4 and discharge electrode 3. In this space, agitation effect due to ion wind produced by the discharge of electrodes causes good contact of NOx in waste gas with powder of catalyst or active carbon, and as a result, NOx is removed. At the same time, particles in the waste gas is collected and carried to a pit, together with a circulating liquid on a wet wall of the dust collecting electrodes. At the injection of the powder, NOx concentration in the waste gas is monitored at outlet and the amount of injected powder is controlled according to the difference between the observed concn. and present concn. of NOx at the outlets. As catalyst for removing NOx, for example, CuCl2-impregnated alumina is used. NaOH, etc. is used as liquid absorbent.
