The flushing tank reduces the noise level to the minimum when refilling, being enclosed on the outside by a casing (1) of insulating material, and which is almost completely closed. The casing can be locally secured to the tank mechanically or by gluing, and it can be of extraction, typically polyurethane foam, and with recessess (9) in the outside, onto which axial grooves (10) join. The design also protects the tank, particularly if enamelled, against damage in transit, heat loss and prevents condensation on the outside.
