Process for the continuous disintegration of microorganism cells and system for carrying out this process

In the disintegration of microorganisms, an aqueous suspension of the microorganism cells is initially saturated with compressed gas in such a way that one volume unit of suspension dissolves at least one volume unit of gas. Thereafter this suspension is kept under saturation pressure for a period sufficient to obtain a suspension which is uniformly saturated with gas through its volume. The suspension processed in this way is continuously passed through a disintegration assembly. The system for carrying out this process contains thick-walled pressure vessels. One (1) of these is used for mixing the cell suspension with compressed gas, and the other (2) is used for storing the suspension saturated with gas. The system also contains a device (5) for the disintegration, which includes at least one assembly which has two seats facing one another and a unit for bringing these seats closer. This process makes it possible to intensify the disintegration of microorganisms.
