It is covered, at least in the places subjected to wear, with a laminated coating which comprises at least two layers of carbide or carbonitride and of carbonitride, nitride or oxynitride, respectively, of metals of groups III to VI of the Periodic Classification, as well as at least one layer of oxide of a metal chosen from titanium, hafnium, zirconium, aluminium, chromium and beryllium. These layers are free from bonding metal and differ from one another in their carbon, nitrogen and oxygen content.
