PURPOSE:To give magnetic anisotropy in the arbitral direction as desired, by forming the phase which is crystalized in the shape having anisotropy in a portion of a magnetic-metal thin band of a noncrystal material and by adjusting the magnetic anisotropy of said magnetic-metal thin band. CONSTITUTION:A noncrystal thin band having the composition of Co70Fe5Si10B15 is obtained by an ordinary high speed guick cooling method, and the noncrystal property is confirmed by X-ray diffraction. A disk with a specified diameter is punched out of said noncrystal thin band, said disck is irradiated by the energy from a CO2 laser in one direction, and a crystal phase is formed in a streak shape with a plurality of widths. One-axis anisotropy, which is characterized by an easy axis whose direction is opposite to the direction of the streaks formed by the laser, is confirmed. After the durability test has been performed, it is confirmed that the anisotropy is not changed. In this method, it is possible to give the magnetic anisotropy in the arbitral direction as desired, and the material whose characteristics are not changed during the operation can be obtained. |
