摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the titled detecting accuracy, when the front tension of the i-th stand is to be obtained from the rolling torque, the rolling load and the back tension, by changing the front and back torque arms after the lock-on correspondingly to the fluctuation of one or more physical quantities affecting the rolling torque and the rolling load. CONSTITUTION:The front tension Ti of the i-th stand 2 is obtained from the formula I. In which Pi is for the rolling load and Ti-1 is for the back tension. The rolling torque Gi is obtained from the formula II. That is, the back and front tension torque arms bi, ci, are the functions of the feed-in side and the run-out side sheet thickness Hi, hi, and the diameter Ri of the flat roll. Hereupon, since the value of the formula III is known, the above stated torque arms bi, ci, are obtained from the formulas IV, V. These variations DELTAbi, DELTAci, after the lock-on are obtained from the formulas VI, VII, similarly to the conventional case of the torque arm ai. Accordingly, above stated torque arms bi, ci, are operated depending on each formula by the arithmetic units 6, 7, other than the arithmetic unit 5, and the front tension Ti is obtained depending on the formula I by the front tension arithmetic unit 4.</p>
