PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness of an electron emitting material to an electrode constitutional substance and hold a good capability of electron emission, by using an electrode with an electron emitting material of specific composition. CONSTITUTION:An electron emitting material is applied to an inner coil 11 and outer coil 12, dried and then heated to secure the electron emitting material 13 to the surface of an electrode constitutional substance. The electron emitting material 13 consists of 10-60mol% at least one of yttrium oxide, holmium oxide, erbium oxide, thulium oxide, ytterbium oxide and lutetium oxide and the rest scandium oxide. |
