PURPOSE:To make it possible to discharge at a low triggering voltage by emitting a light against a cathode electrode portion of a discharge tube which is shielded from the outside, by using an illuminating mechanism wherein an LED, a filament lamp, and the like are used as a light source. CONSTITUTION:A laser flash lamp 1 is inserted into a laser light collector 6 so that a cathode terminal 2 and a cathode electrode 3 are protruded from one side, and an anode terminal 7 is protruded from the other side. The entire lamp is enclosed by an external case so that the light is not applied on the electrode 3, thereby a discharging device is formed. In this constitution, in order to decrease the triggering voltage for starting the discharge, a filament lamp 4 and the like which are attached to a socket 5 is obliquely provided on the side of the electrode 3 so that the light is not shielded by a retaining nut 8 of said flash lamp 1. In this method, the trigger-discharge starting voltage is constantly kept at about 4kv, the variation in the starting voltage is suppressed, and the electrical discharge noises are not generated. |
