Appts. for sepg. scattered stones and metal pieces from wood chips uses a vertical water vat where the water has an upward flow and is continually recycled. The wood chips, even when satd. with water, pass upwards to the surface and the stones and metal fall to the bottom of the vat, where they are periodically withdrawn The separation method of the invention does not spoil the quality or size of the wood chips, nor is there any loss of chips due to saturation. |
