PURPOSE:To stably provide microcapsules excellent in the core material retaining property by a method wherein a hydrophobic core material is emulsified and dispersed in an aqueous medium under an acidic condition, to which a mixture of a hydrophilic protective colloid material and an aminoaldehyde resin prepolymer is added. CONSTITUTION:An aminoaldehyde resin prepolymer is reacted in an aqueous medium under an acidic consition, and the main product of polycondensation resin is used as wall membrane to wrap a hydrophobic core material thereby providing microcapsules. In such a process, a hydrophobic material such as fish oil or lard is emulsified in a water-soluble medium, this aqueous medium is carefully added with a mixture of a hydrophilic protective colloid consisting of anionic colloid material such as gum arabic and a prepolymer of aminoaldyhyde resin using, for example, urea. By doing so, high-quality microcapsules can be easily and efficiently obtained without needing careful operational control. |
