A gangway protection at the end of a vehicle, in particular a rail vehicle, is constructed in such a way that it is released automatically from a second gangway protection on the facing end side of an adjacent vehicle when the wagons are separated from one another. Within the outer intercommunicating bellows (8) whose outline corresponds to the profile of the wagon, a second intercommunicating bellows (1) formed from beads (2) is arranged, the said intercommunicating bellows (1) bounding the passage for passengers and its inner wall forming in each operating position and essentially plane surface. For this purpose, the inner wall of each bead (2) which consists of rubber elastic material is formed from two strips (3) which are directed towards one another, overlap one another and can be pushed one over the other. The end face of the gangway protection is formed by the end frames (7,4) assigned to the two bellows (8, 1) and their connecting webs (6, 6a) on which the elements for the self-release function are arranged and specifically advantageously closer to the second bellows (1). <IMAGE> |
