Signal compensator for magnetic tape recorded TV signals - has amplitude frequency response signals compensated by processing through memory stages and adder

A compensation process is designed to handle high speed frequency response variations generated during the replay of coloured television signals that are stored on magnetic tape. Signals from the coils of magnetic pick ups are transmitted over a switch that chanqes state at a rate related to the drum rotation. The signals are passed through a controlled compensator, demodulator and burst isolation stage. The amplitude of the separated colour synchronisation signal is compared with a reference. The difference signal controls integrators and various numbers of switched memory locations coupled to an adder stage.
