<p>1373022 Incinerators for liquid waste VENOT-PIC SA 15 Nov 1972 [27 Jan 1972] 52700/72 Heading F4B [Also in Division B2] In a vertical incinerator for liquid waste or slurry, a grate 1 at the bottom comprises a number of burners 3 having individual fuel nozzles 2 and a common air distributer, and an atomizer for the slurry at the top comprising an inner chamber 6 to which the slurry is delivered tangentially, and a surrounding chamber to which air is fed under pressure. The air is fed round the outlet 10 of the chamber 6, Fig. 2, so that the conical curtain of slurry produced by the swirling slurry within the chamber is dispersed into droplets. The feed of air is controlled so that size of droplets may be adjusted according to the combustion conditions. The air supply to the atomizer may be tangential or radial, and the fuel supply pipes to the burner may be directed vertically or horizontally. Solid residues are exhausted with the gases at the top.</p> |
