PURPOSE:To an original in which horizontal writing and vertical writing are mixed as per the original by so constituting the apparatus that it is freely changeable to the mode in which the direction where the recording elements of a recording head align to the feed direction of recording paper and the mode in which the same is aligned to the direction orthogonal thereto. CONSTITUTION:In recording of the image signal obtained at the time of reading the horizontally written parts in the original with a reader, a recording head H is changed to the mode of the position shown by the solid lines and drive pulses are supplied to a pulse motor 21 to shift the head H in a Y direction. At the time of recording the image signal obtained when the vertically written parts are read with the reader, the head H is changed to the mode of the position shown by imaginary lines and the head H is held stopped, thence drive pulses are supplied to the motor 15 to move the recording paper P in an X direction. Then, the horizontally written parts in the original is recorded in horizontal writing and the vertically written parts in the vertical writing, respectively. |
