<p>Drilling bits are disclosed which are particularly efficient drilling devices when used in soft plastic underground formations which normally are difficult or impossible to drill with conventional drilling bits. The bits of this invention are characterized by having relief openings formed in the individual cutting elements to provide extrusion of the soft formation face into removable chips.</p> |
