1. Rotary web printing machine with a least one printing unit, a printing carrier web supply for each printing unit and a folding unit incorporating a cross cutting device, which folding unit can be connected in register by means of a coupling to the drive for the printing unit, characterized in that between the folding unit (7) and the printing unit (1, 2) a web connecting device (24) is provided which a) incorporates a supporting bar (30) with a separating edge (32) for completely separating a printed printing carrier web (22) and a bending edge (36) for the beginning of an unprinted priting carrier web (23), b) a clamping device (26, 27, 28, 29) for gripping the strip leading into the folding unit (7) of the printed printing carrier web (22) at a distance from the separating point, c) a holding device (31, 33, 34) for gripping, bending and holding the free end of the printed printing carrier web (22) in the bent position and d) means for swivelling the holding device (31, 33, 34) in the position that holds the free end of the printed printing carrier web (22) for pressing the bent free end against the unprinted printing carrier web (23) drawn over the supporting bar (30). |
