<p>A sloping raking grating holds back waste matter, and has provision for removing solids adhering to it. It is in the form of a continuous sieving strip (6), stretched across two rollers (4,5) with lengthways elements held by spaced ones. One roller, at least, is connected to a drive device (8) raising sections of the strip from the water flow. At the beginning of the return area there is a cleaning brush (11) with powered drive pressing it against the direction of advance, and below this there is a trap (13) for removed impurities. This is simple and stable, and can reliably remove quite small particles of waste matter.</p> |
