<p>The control valve for a high pressure hydraulic line has shallow pockets (8,9) each side of the control piston (4) linked by cross ducts (12). The inlet and outlet ducts on the cylinder wall are offset so that only two at a time can be coupled via the valve, and with a progressive connection via the pockets. The control piston has simple machining, with shallow pockets and two cross ducts. No shaping of leading edges of ducts is required to provide a smooth takeup of pressure as the leading edge of the pocket meets a duct (5,6,7).</p> |
