PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a filter by the unprepared force of ink without dropping the permeating ability of the filter even when a container is turned upside down by providing an ink shielding material of particular structure between a membrane filter and an ink level. CONSTITUTION:In an ink container IT, a funnel-shaped ink shielding material R with an aperture at its tip is provided, and at the aperture, a plug CV2 is provided. The plug CV2 has a circular part with a vent hole AI1 and a shaft part which projects vertically from its center and has a tip formed in a cone shape. In a normally standing state, the plug CV2 is suspended by the ink shielding material R and an aperture AI4 is formed. In an inverted state, the conical part of the shaft of the plug CV2 is lowered by its own weight and closes the aperture tightly. In the upper part, a filter F2 made of a porous ink absorbing material and a membrane filter (made of tetrafluoroethylene resin or the like) which permits the passing of air but does not leak ink are disposed, and in the lower part, a porous ink filter F3 is provided and connected with a typing head by a conduit CH. |
