PURPOSE:To make the thickness of the sealing part of a sealed battery small, the thereby increase battery capacity as well as battery volume by fusing parts of the upper surface of an annular ceramic body to both a terminal and a case. CONSTITUTION:A battery is constituted by using a ceramic sealed case, which is prepared by fusing an annular ceramic body 23 to both a metal terminal 21 and a metal case 22. Here, the inner periphery of the upper surface of the annular ceramic body 23 is fused to the projecting part 21a of the terminal 21 which has a T-form cross section, while the outer periphery of the upper surface of the body 23 is fused to the metal case 22. The above fusion is carried out by means of wax welding or laser welding, after a metalized layer 24 made of tungsten or the like is formed over the annular ceramic body 23. |
