PURPOSE:To enable a secure fixation treatment with simple constitution, by controlling the light emission timing of a flash lamp by detecting the temperature of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Once paper sensor 3 detects the existence of recording medium 1, driving circuit 6 for flash lamp 2A of fixing device 2 is enable to drive the lamp. When the unfixed part of recording medium 1 comes close to the exit of fixing device 2 and the temperature of the unfixed part circumference lower than that of the fixed part is detected by temperature sensor 4, lamp 2A is driven by driving circuit 6 via detecting circuit 5 to flash, thereby fixing the unfixed part stably. Therefore, the secure thermal fixation treatment can be carried out with the simple constitution. |
